This week's short story is entitled Rivals

The girl with bright green eyes and locks of curly blonde hair raced to class, she was racing the school bell. The bell won. The girl apologized to her ageing teacher as she took a seat in the back of the class, overlooking the whole class. The girl looked around the classroom and saw a freckled faced boy with red hair, a Latin girl with dark brown hair and eyes, and a slender girl with jet black hair and blue eyes. The green eyed girl continued to look around her classroom until her eyes fell on a boy that made her heart run a thousand miles. The boy had fawn hair, brown eyes slowly turning black, fair skin with a tan, handsome features and a sly smile.

He was smart, she knew that

He was funny, she knew that

He was popular, she knew that

He was unstoppable, she knew that

She trusted him, he didn't know that

She was there for him, he didn't know that

She admired him, he didn't know that

She helped him, he knew that

She knew him, he didn't know that

They helped each other, they both knew that

They were both smart, they both knew that

They were special, they both knew that

They were competitive, they both knew that

They were idiotic, they knew that

They work better as one but refuse to so, they knew that

They both think they're different from one another, but in reality they're not so different after all. They've heard this but don't believe it.

They're both rivals, they knew this by heart already. The boy turned around to face the green eyed girl, his dark brown eyes meeting hers, he then turned back around and the girl cussed under her breath as she felt her cheeks heat up. She then whispered "There is no way I'm falling for him, not my rival."
